Round 8: Spartans Vs Hogs

The week 8 early game proved to be a big hitting battle, with both defenses playing well early.

The Hogs offense found rhythm early, and while moving the ball were unable to convert within the Redzone.

A Welbourn to Olive 24-yard TD opened the scoring for the Hogs and the Spartans blocked and returned the PAT attempt the distance.

The Spartans defense were stubborn throughout, with Hogs receivers Crouch and Morton both paying the price for receptions. The Hogs defense remained strong against the Spartan run while their offense moved the ball well late during the third quarter. The first play of the final period resulting in a Welbourn to Morton 3-yard TD.

The Spartan ground game came alive late, resulting in a Hassall rushing TD, closing the gap, yet Adelaide University remain undefeated with a tight, grinding victory over a stubborn Spartans outfit.
